Home Sellers' Prep List

OUTDOORS
  • Lawn neat (mowed, trimmed).
  • Dead plants replaced. Shrubs pruned.
  • Fresh paint if needed. Replace damaged bricks.
  • Repair windows cracked or w/broken seal.
  • Replace damaged / missing screens.
  • Pool/Spa - make it sparkle.
  • Patio- Keep it neat.

GARAGE

  • Remove unnecessary items.
  • Clean the floor and tidy the shelves.

BATHS

  • Check caulking around tubs and showers.
  • Replace or clean shower curtain.
  • Repair leaking faucets. Re-grout tile if necessary.
  • Clean out cabinets. Straighten out linen closets.
KITCHEN
  • De-clutter and straighten pantry and cupboards.
  • Replace counter tile grout if needed.
  • Clean oven and wax floor.
  • Be sure all sinks are clean.

LIVING AREAS

  • Drapes and carpets clean.
  • Apply paint as needed. Note: Neutral colors are best.
  • Electrical system / plumbing in working order.
  • Replace burnt out light bulbs.
  • Wash windows inside and out.

CLOSETS

  • Clothes neatly hung, lights operable.
  • Shoes/loose items in boxes, neatly shelved.
  • Remove extra shoes and out-of-season items.
